Arndt Family Photographs
The following photographs come from my private collection.
Four siblings, children of John Arndt and Anna Gruening, came to the United States from Kaisersfelde, Posen in the late 1800s.  Herman Arndt arrived about 1872 and his brother Emil Arndt arrived in 1882.  Their older sister Louise Arndt and her husband August Priebe arrived with their children in 1883.  In 1895 their sister Emma Minna Arndt Zuehlke brought her children to the United States after the death of her husband.   If you have any information on these families please email me.  Clicking on any of the below photos will bring up a larger version of the photo.

“This house looked this way all these years until now, its all smoked black on the outside.  Lightening hit right close to the house a year ago, I think it cracked the chimney.  I didn’t know it till I went up to see it”.
