6. (Hans) Heinrich Röwer
was born on Dec 29 1800 in Meinsen, Schaumburg-Lippe. He emigrated on May
1 1843 from Germany. He immigrated in Jun 1843 to Indianapolis, Marion County,
IN. He was naturalized on Jun 22 1848 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. He
died about May 1891 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. He was also known as
Henry Rafert. Although it has not been proven yet, it is felt that the Henry
Rafert who came to Indianapolis in 1843 is the same as Hans Heinrich Röwer
who left Meinsen in 1825, destination unknown.
He was married to Christina about 1825 in Germany.
Christina was born about 1800 in Germany. She died in Oct 1881 in Indianapolis,
Marion County, IN. (Hans) Heinrich Röwer and Christina had the following

5' 7 1/2" tall with dark hair and blue eyes. On February 13th, 1865 he

and stood 5' 4", with dark hair and blue eyes. He enlisted for three years
in August 1862 as a private in company A, 79th Indiana Infantry. In September

through October, but recovered enough to march with his unit when it moved toward
