6. (Hans) Heinrich Röwer was born on Dec 29 1800 in Meinsen, Schaumburg-Lippe. He emigrated on May 1 1843 from Germany and arrived in Indianapolis in June 1843. He was naturalized on Jun 22 1848 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. He died about May 1891 in Indianapolis, Marion County, IN. He was also known as Henry Rafert.

He was married to Christine Marie Philippine Röpke on 13 July 1825 in Frille, Germany. Christina was born in April 1803 in Päpinghausen and baptized on 7 April 1803 in Frille. She died Oct 1881 in Indianapolis and was buried on 27 Oct 1881 at Crown Hill Cemetery. (Hans) Heinrich Röwer and Christina had the following children:

15 i. Heinrich Wilhelm Röver was born 16 October 1825 in Frille, Germany. He arrived in Baltimore on the ship "Columbia" on Dec 6th, 1847. Henry was a carpenter, and stood 5' 7 1/2" tall with dark hair and blue eyes. On February 13th, 1865 he enlisted in Company C, 148th Indiana Infantry.

17 iii. Friedrich Wilhelm Röwe was born 29 April 1832 in Frille, Germany. Frederick was a carpenter and stood 5' 4", with dark hair and blue eyes. He enlisted for three years in August 1862 as a private in company A, 79th Indiana Infantry. In September he became ill and was put in the hospital in Louisville, KY. He remained there through October, but recovered enough to march with his unit when it moved toward Nashville, TN. He was still weak and fell out during the march and was sent to the hospital in Evansville, IN, where he remained until he was discharged due to illness in December.
